Positions vacant
Graduate Software Developer
We are looking for a Graduate Software Developer to join our skilled Software Development team. This team uses a backlog-driven Agile development approach delivered through automated build and Product Management and Issue Tracking systems, all fed by a focused, customer driven Product Roadmap.
The position will involve working across all aspects of product engineering including backend integration through to UI development delivered through the Flex framework. Our software is written mainly with a combination of Java (Server) and Adobe Flex (UI). Experience in these technologies (+ Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, XML, SQL, XSLT; J2EE, Web Services; Maven2; git; SQL*Server; HTML; UML) would be an advantage, but an ability to pick up new skills as needed is more important. In integrating with external systems we often come across other environments such as C# and even legacy systems. Internally, we tend to prefer OSS technologies in build and test, so a capacity to navigate around a Linux desktop would be useful.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Translating feature requests into software product solutions
- Architecting new functionality
- Using OO Design and Java to implement designs through the RealTime product architecture
- Testing and debugging the implementation
- Providing Customer Support services as a part of a team, including liaison with customers
- Visiting customer sites to deploy product solutions
- Providing software engineering as a part of a customer project team
- Analysing, understanding and fixing issues found during the QA and Support process

Sales and Marketing Support
We will soon be creating a position for a full-time Sales and Marketing support person to concentrate on collaterals, PR, the website, events management, early stage pipeline, and providing assistance to the CEO in sales activities. The position will be based in Oxford and the successful candidate must have artistic flair, commercial aptitude (this is a very customer facing company), perfect spoken and written English, competent IT skills in the usual set of design tools (PC, I'm afraid, not MAC, because that's what the NHS uses) and be willing to travel from time to time. If you think you already have what it takes and want to send us your details, contact us via the details published at our Contact Us page!
